On October 17, 2015, in the Austrian city of Linz, the first official but informal meeting, later called the Initiative Meeting, was held. The meeting was attended by 120 participants from BiH, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia and Turkey, from the segment of economy, science, sports, media and other sectors of society. Among others, the gathering was attended by representatives of the largest companies from BiH, including the Buy and Use Domestic Association, the BiH Foreign Trade Chamber, representatives of the City of Linz, five mayors from BiH, the Prime Minister of the USC, Face TV as a media sponsor and many others.
In addition to the meetings and gatherings, the idea was born to form a legal entity that will organize a forum twice a year, each time in a different city and country. The forum will organize meetings with other successful Bosnians from the country and the diaspora, promote important projects to attract potential investors who would invest a part of their capital with transparent participation in the profit and return of investments.
The second conclusion was that the Diaspora Offices could create a service that would be available to citizens from certain local communities and would represent their needs and interests through the Diaspora Service.
